Research Ethics for Clinical Fellows
Research Ethics is a learning module originally created for the University of Toronto’s Clinician Investigator Program (CIP). It is one part of a comprehensive online program (CIPCorEd) that enables CIP residents independently to learn professional skills essential to the clinician investigator.
On completion of the module, you should be able to:
- Identify the milestones in research ethics
- Recognize the key role of consent in human research
- Understand the regulatory environment and the role of ethics boards
- Apply tips to identify and manage potential conflicts of interest
